Coolify, without running Coolify yourself.

Coolify is a great open-source PaaS, if you want to host and maintain it. Appliku gives you the same push-to-deploy on a server you own, but we run the platform and keep the server healthy for you. Built for Django and Python, with fast, direct support.

No credit card required.

Trusted by over 7,800 teams to run their apps in production.

In short

Appliku and Coolify both give you Heroku-style deploys on servers you own, instead of a locked-in PaaS. The difference is who operates the platform. Coolify is open-source software you install, host, and maintain yourself. Appliku is a managed service: we run the control plane and keep your server patched, secured, and backed up, so you just push code. Appliku is built for Django and Python (FastAPI, Rails, and Next.js too) and includes direct support and a done-for-you migration on paid plans.

Coolify is genuinely good. Here is the catch.

Coolify is one of the most popular open-source deployment platforms for a reason. It is free, the whole project is open source, it deploys almost any Docker app, and you keep full control of your servers. If you want a self-hosted PaaS and enjoy running your own tooling, it is a strong choice, and we will say so.

The catch is the word "self-hosted." Coolify is software you operate. You install it, you keep it updated, and you own everything underneath it: the operating system, security patches, the database, and the backups. When an upgrade breaks something or a server needs attention at an inconvenient hour, that work lands on you. Support is the community on Discord and GitHub.

Security is the sharp end of that. When Coolify disclosed 11 critical vulnerabilities in January 2026, researchers counted tens of thousands of self-hosted instances exposed until their owners updated. Coolify disclosed them openly and shipped fixes quickly, to its credit, but installing the patch in time was every operator's job.

Appliku removes that operating work, without adding attack surface. Our control plane runs as a managed service, and we install no control panel of our own on your server, only standard Docker and Nginx. There is nothing extra on your machine to attack or to patch, and nothing of ours using its RAM, disk, or CPU. You get the same push-to-deploy on a server you own, kept healthy for you, with a real person to email when you need one.

Free software is not the same as free.

Coolify has no license fee. The cost shows up as the time and risk of running it.

Coolify (self-hosted): software
Free
Coolify (self-hosted): your server plus the hours you spend running it
Server plus your time
Appliku: flat fee, maintenance and support included
$0 to $39/mo plus your server

With both, you bring your own cloud account and pay the provider directly, so the server stays yours. Appliku is not the cheaper option in dollars. It is the option where the maintenance and the support are someone else's job.

Your own servers, without the operating work

"You get the best of both worlds, a PaaS like experience, but it's your cloud servers where you can control costs and increase resources."

Jonathan Adly
Founder, GalenAI

"The perfect combination of PaaS and IaaS hosting. It gave me the freedom to choose servers that fit, without the needless complexity of other services."

Aiden Masiero
Founder, Bantopia.com

"Appliku makes deploys simple and painless. I can use a server from any cloud service, not just the big names. Their customer service goes above and beyond."

A fast reply, not a forum thread

With self-hosted software, support is the community and your own debugging. On Appliku you email us and hear back fast, often from the founder who built it. When you cannot win the afternoon back, that turnaround is the difference.

"I had a few issues and questions with my deploy and got super fast support. 10/10 would recommend for any Django app."

Dave Faliskie
Software Developer, 1ManStartup

"The support by its creator is unbeatable and fast, and the prices are fair. Every important service can be spun up with a few clicks."

Already on Coolify? We will move you, live.

On any paid plan, request a free migration. We get on a screen-share and move your app onto a server Appliku manages for you, together, usually in one session. You keep the same server ownership, and hand off the upkeep.

Questions Coolify users ask

Can't I just self-host Coolify for free?
Yes, and for many people that is the right call. The tradeoff is that you become the operator: installs, upgrades, security patches, and backups are yours. Appliku charges a flat fee to take that work off your plate.
Is Appliku open source?
No. Appliku is a managed service, not software you host. Your app and server stay yours and run on standard open tools (Docker and Nginx), so there is no proprietary runtime to lock you in.
Who maintains the server?
Appliku does. We set up and maintain the server: the web server, SSL, deploys, and the runtime. You get root SSH if you ever want it, but you never need it.
Does Appliku deploy any app, like Coolify?
Django and Python are our core, and the defaults are tuned for them. FastAPI, Rails, and Next.js work too, using a prebuilt image, a custom Dockerfile, or your existing one. Coolify is more generalist across many app types, so Django details like static and media files, migrations, and Docker Compose wiring are yours to sort out, where Appliku handles them by default.
Does Coolify use my server's resources?
Yes. Coolify runs on the same server as your apps, so it needs its own CPU and memory, and some users report it getting heavy during deploys. Appliku's control plane is managed and runs off your server, and we install no panel of our own on your machine, only Docker and Nginx, so nothing of ours uses your RAM, disk, or CPU, or adds attack surface.
Can you move my app off Coolify for me?
Yes. On any paid plan we do the migration with you on a screen-share, including your database and workers, and test before cutover.
What does it cost?
Start free, no credit card. Paid plans start at $18/mo and include the done-for-you migration. You pay your cloud provider directly for the server.

Keep your servers. Hand off the upkeep.

Start free, deploy a real app to a server you own, and let Appliku run the platform for you. No credit card required.
